Elderly Music Facilitation

Location:

Various

Summary:

As we age our sense of purpose dwindles and society’s attention turns to issues surrounding the economy and our youth. As the Elderly become dependant on carers, their sense of dignity and self worth declines in conjunction with their health. Old age can be a lonely existence in a world that is no longer familiar.

Music is a non verbal language that affects all ages and consciousness; it stirs emotion, unites communities, encourages, inspires, and celebrates life and morns death. Music provokes positive memories and emotions bringing security and comfort in a distorted alien world. Music taps into our inner pulse resulting in involuntary movements in even motionless people.

Music facilitation promotes improved health and wellbeing using musical expertise to connect with clients through entrainment. Hourly structured sessions are themed with plenty of scope for improvisation and spontaneity thereby using music as a tool to release emotion and keep the soul and spirit intact.
